Henry Watters
Henry Watters won the 2012 Mussolini 4th of July Parade's award, and went
on to donate and support multiple animal shelters, particularly St. Hubert's Animal
Welfare Center. He has helped several dogs get adopted this way.
Having given hundreds of dollars to the shelter over the years, Watters recently
moved on from his animal activism and has become an online personality. He
began this with a revival of his modelling career in early 2015.
This took off with a photo shoot. Actresses Phoenix LaParo and Amy Learner
assisted Henry and took 17 photos of him which were posted on Instagram. After
this, five short films were posted online of him; one called FOODDDDD, another
titled Morning Treats, an unnamed silent drama, another unnamed drama that
had sound, and finally Pug the Musical.
Given the success of the shoot and films, nine older photos of Henry were posted,
seeing an uptake in the number of likes his photos gained by almost 1/2. 16 more
new photos were posted the next week resulting in a further upwards shift of likes.
After the photo uploading had slowed down somewhat, a new silent short film was
released, called I Want to Get Out Now. He also began advocating for child cancer
awareness. After the release of I Want to Get Out Now, a sequel (with noise) titled I
Want Dinner was released.
Also in 2015, Henry ran for Mayor of Highland Park, but did not reach the primaries.
